Brown Cow

Our beloved family truck is interested in becoming part of the fleet. She knows everyone and meets the qualifications.  Tough, functional, and easy on the eyes - she has it all.  Her regular commute and occasional errand has peaked her interest in the nursery business.  She is just not ready to commit yet....

Big John

​

Sometimes you need to do heavy work fast. Big John does it whilst looking good.  He is not much for personality or conversation.   "What needs to be done?  Let's go.  When we are done, put me back and turn on the TV." 

Ned

​

Ned just wants to help.  He has a small truck complex so he is up for anything to prove he can do it.  Half of his life was spent in a barn, so he is happy to be roaming free on the Azusa landscape.

One-eyed John

​

One-eyed John lost one of his eyes  from blackberry combat - hence the patch.   He lost the other eye in the Summer of '22 from another blackberry attack in the back acres of Azusa.

 

In his words,   "The B-vines came out of nowhere!"

 

He is now legally blind and does not run all that well, but he is tenacious and  has good bones. 

Oh, he has battle scars for sure, but he'll go out and fight for the nursery without hesitation.

Froggy

​

Froggy retired from the Bellingham Parks Dept in September 2023.  He has 9 years of professional lawn experience and most important - a strong work ethic and a great attitude.  This quirky machine has lots of personality and fits right in.

Van-Zilla

​

Van-zilla started his life doing hard time in the King County Metro  Vanpool. Those were dark days.  After he got out, he did work-release for two separate families. The last family used  him as an island vehicle on Lopez and endearingly named him Van-zilla. We like the name and we like our van.  He now serves as a delivery van and go-getter. With 218,000 miles he, "Doesn't owe nobody nothin'."  Long live Van-zilla.

No longer sea worthy, but it is  great to showcase the boat-load of plants we have at Azusa.

Mighty Mo

​

This friendly looking industrial electric truck is able carry 2000 pounds without losing its smile.  It is very easy to underestimate the toughness of this vehicle.  Most important, he's got heart! Cute as a pumpkin and tough as a rock.

What is that Thang?   Wait, there are two identical thangs. The thangs work day or night to haul, tow, be a mobile step ladder... or to just look cool on nursery patrol.
